Physical Weathering.
Physical weathering is the act of the temperature changing making the rocks break down. It usually happens in places where there is little soil, and barely any plants like the desert and mountain regions. Physical weathering is also assisted by water, it is known as Freeze and Thaw. When the rocks have cracks, the water goes into it (At day.) The water then freezes then expands the cracks (At night.) After a few years or months, the rocks will then break apart.
